Lenovo today officially announced the world’s first dual-screen notebook, the ThinkPad W700ds mobile workstation. The main screen offers a resolution of 1920 x 1200, the smaller screen 768 x 1280. The Thinkpad W700ds features a 10.6 inch, 768 x 1280 pixel LED-backlit display in addition to the 17 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel CCFL-backlit primary display. It is 0.5 inch thicker than its W700 predecessor and hides a 10 inch slide-out display in its lid.
W700ds ThinkPad mobile workstation provides a rich, customizable multimedia experience with optional DVD burner / player and high speed UDMA Compact Flash reader, support for Dual Link DVI, and VGA monitor port, a 7-in-1 multi-card reader and five USB ports.
The company specified that the ThinkPad W700ds mobile workstation would be available immediately, and the pricing for models starts at $3,663.
